"And for those who surrenders themselves to their Lord and does good, the pahala goes to him / her. No fear will befall onto them and to them, they will not be dissappointed" This i think is the essence of faith - to surrender and submit in its entirety, hoping for the best outcome. Believing and doing good for altruistic reasons and having no fear.

Great Concert by Anderson Choir

Always great to hear young voices that send your spirits high. Also good to be surprised by ex andersonians who came and supported their school!... Yizhen nice to see u. Lessons from ayat 75 - 96 Al Baqarah

1) Truth : The Lord has given truths, teachings to mankind and to those whom he wills. But to those who knows and who are learned, but refuses to acknowledge these teachings out of pride and a preference for worldly gains, they will not get his guidance.
2) The ones who will receive the most azb in neraka, are the bearers of knowledge and truths who willfully keeps and deceives others of the truths. Damnation to them for their deeds

Read ayat 102 Al-Baqarah on how Allah cleared Solomon from charges if being kufr and proclaimed that it was Satan themselves who taught mankind the art of black magic. Passage is meaningful in terms of how some people would seek help from bomoh, medium and witch doctor for help. And to them the art of black magic is being practised so as to bring the hopes and dreams of thei client. It is true that their intentions would be realised with God's will, but there is no part for them in the hereafter for those who sold themselves in this way, according to the ayat. Amin

Yesterday, managed to complete ayat 83 to 95. Greatest feat so far. Product of a week of intense practise. What is meaningful is the message and Lord's reminder to follow the teachings of the prophet of our generation.
