Yes finally putting on trainer blades after my last ones. Remembered getting the first version of Bravoblade by the original Rollerblade in 1996. Was 24 at that time (still old then), but nothing stopped me from trying it on and practising under the voidecks in Spottiswodde Park Road. This time round is different, a 34 year old, doing blades with two of his kids at the trainer circuit in East Coast. Of course the fear of embarassing myself is real. But then again, hey having skied down Mount Sungwu, in Korea, the V's and H's technique of accellerating and braking should apply right? Did not crash into anybody...and was hoping that even if I fall, must DO IT IN STYLE...(Buzz Lightyear...hey woody...look I am falling in style). Anyway felt great after doing this..got potential...So will practise somemore...one perfect, will get myself intermeidate skates and gear...Maybe Solomon, cos their blades look real cool. And of course if we move to the East, then we can do this almost weekly...or even more often.. Blading is one of those think that puts me back in the time when falling down was a real fear, but the adrenaline of doing it anyway, prevails. I guess that was the creed I had in my teenage and yound adult period. So at this age, I am discovering and touching base with this eerily familiar vibe, feels awesomely wunderful. Faiz will join me next year, of course after giving birth and geeting back in shape..
